I am parting with some of my treasured LPs. Here's a great record from 1959. It's an amazing early Johnny Cash LP, and this is the first STEREO PRESSING on the COLUMBIA LABEL, CS8125. Remarkably, this LP is STILL SEALED, close to 60 years after it's release. It is incredibly in perfect condition. All seams, the spine, corners, front and back covers, are all PRISTINELY MINT.
The LP is a small change for Cash, as he turns his attention to more religious based songs of faith and devotion. His renditions of these songs are great, and his voice is deep and powerful bringing a unique and emotional sound to them. It's a killer LP that is a variation on most other Cash LPs of the time.
I love original original pressings because I feel every LP is of it's time and place. The vinyl, and record pressings are all from that moment in time, and no re-pressing or re-mastering will ever make the sound better for me.
