Recorded at Curtom Studios in April 1977, 'Wisdom of My Life' captures LeRoy Hutson at the height of his creative flow. Cut during sessions for his Closer to the Source period, it's a radiant slice of Chicago soul that somewhat stayed in the vaults for nearly fifty years. The track glides on Hutson's trademark warmth with lush strings, supple rhythm section and vocals steeped in a kind of quiet optimism. Two new seven-inch edits finally bring it to light: one trimmed for the dancefloor and the other allowing the full 38-second intro featuring gorgeous female harmonies to breathe.
