Description

About This Item: Incredibly rare original Free Form Jazz LP "Under The Sun" by the Human Arts Ensemble of St. Louis Missouri. This is the privately pressed issue of which there are only 500, this is numbered 412 and includes the original insert which is still un-opened. This item is totally mint inside and out with the exception of a stain on the top right from a removed price sticker, otherwise flawless with one original owner who played it once. And what a cast of players we have here.

Musicians Include:
Donald Byrd - Trumpet
Vicotr Reef - Trombone
Lester Bowie - Trumpet
Kwame Graham - Electric Piano
Butch Smith - Bass
Charles Bobo Shaw, jr. - Drums
James Marshall - Alto Sax, et.al.
Carol Marshall - Vocal
J.D. Parran - Bass Clarinet
Vincent Terrell - Cello
Abdallah Yakub - Percussion
and others

Tracks Include:
1. Lover's Desire (26:00)
A free form symphony based on the Afghanistan folk melody transcribed from radio Kabul. Arranged by Shaw and James Marshall
2. Hazrat, The Sufi (22:00)
Composed by James Marshall/Arranged by Charles W. Shaw and James Marshall

Note: we just bought a massive collection of this ilk which you'll be seeing in the next few weeks/months. Most are one original (62 year old) owner who kept his collection with meticulous care.

Thanks for looking and good luck!
