Comment: all-time classic. Original first US pressing, released on SST records in conjunction with the REFLEX label. This 7-tracker was given 10/10 by the FLEX book/website (US Hardcore/Punk)…and here is the comment taken from the great FLEX:

 

  • This 12” marks their final move away from hardcore, and towards a more melodic style, initiating and intensifying a major shift of direction in the hardcore scene. However, this is not just pop music played through a fuzz box, the music is still complex, and a bit more experimental than on Zen Arcade. Catchy and smart “post-hardcore”. [10]
  • Obwohl auf dieser 12” schon die melodischen und poppigen Ansätze von Zen Arcade erkennbar sind, greift man noch manchmal auf den hektischen und komplexen Stil der früheren Platten zurück; eine sehr interessante und ansprechende Mischung, vor allem, weil die Platte trotz der manchmal etwas schrägen Passagen sehr eingängig ist. Braucht man.

Versand / Mailing: alle Platten werden in einer neutralen weißen Hülle außerhalb des Plattencovers verschickt, um Beschädigungen am Originalcover zu vermeiden (all records will be sent in plain white sleeves outside of the picture sleeves to avoid any seam splits). Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt (all records will be shipped in special LP record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending).

 

Bezahlung / Payment: Deutsche per Banküberweisung. Non-Germans via PayPal. All orders outside Germany which exceed a value of €35, $50 or £30 will only be sent by registered mail. This requires the buyer to pay an additional €2, $3 or £2. All winners from Italy must pay for registered mail.
