Description

Up for consideration is a very rare copy of "MOANIN IN THE MOONLIGHT" by HOWLIN' WOLF which was pressed in 1958 on the rare BLUE CHESS LABEL which according to research was an alternate pressing to the black label and was produced in specific assigned plants. It's printing is identical to the black label in every way and has SHELDON in the runoffs on both sides. Also the labels are beautiful and look in close to pristine condition. The shiny vinyl exhibits some light scuffs and light lines when scrutinized under a bright light, but still represents a 61 year old LP in quality condition. It's cover also represents strong quality with nice seams, edges, corners, no punch holes or cutouts, no writing, with minimal surface wear ( light ring wear on both sides ). As you probably know this is an extremely difficult lp to find, being the first lp of one of the greatest blues artists ever. And to find this lp today in it's nice, quality condition makes it an even rarer acquisition to collect and add to one's blue's collection.
