Description

HOUSTON PERSON – Blue Odyssey (1968) Prestige-7566 – EX/EX (cover/vinyl)

Classic great set by Houston on tenor sax joined by Curtis Fuller on trombone, Pepper Adams on baritone, Cedar Walton on piano, Bob Cranshaw on bass and Frankie Jones on drums. The tracks are “Blue Odyssey,” “Holy Land,” “I Love You, Yes I Do,” “Funky London,” “Please Send Me Someone to Love,” and “Starr Burstt.” A great modal set by Houston with all of the arrangements by Cedar Walton. Rarely see this one!

This is a super nice copy. The cover is tight and intact with just some very minor yellowing/aging to the back cover. No seam splits at all. The original dark blue label with the silver trident logo in a circle at the top of the label has only the faintest sleeve scuffs that do nothing. Many would grade this higher. I grade this conservatively: EX/EX (cover/vinyl).
