HORACE SILVER QUINTET “Song For My Father”  RVG, Blue Note 4185 Mono Vinyl

This is the "VAN GELDER" stamped, mono pressing of HORACE SILVER QUINTET’s “Song For My Father” on the "New York / Liberty" labels of Blue Note BLP 4185. Musicians include Horace Silver – piano, Blue Mitchell – trumpet, Junior Cook – tenor saxophone, Gene Taylor – bass, Roy Brooks – drums.

VINYL plays beautifully ! Stone cold classic vinyl from the Master. Some pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are very dynamic and clear. CLEAN, DYNAMIC, PUNCHY! No Skips. No locked grooves. No distortion. Very Good gloss. Handful of hairline marks, none feelable. (If you can't feel it you won't hear it).  The "New York / Liberty” labels are generally clean, some fading, spindle marks. See photos.

COVER is in Good shape, corners worn. Ringwear. Seams taped, spine clean, some cracking. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23" back jacket shows wear, dirt, stains, see photos.
