HORACE SILVER QUINTET "Finger Poppin'" P, RVG, LAM, Blue Note 4008 Mono Vinyl
This is the "RVG” stamped, Laminated Cover, "P" pressing of HORACE SILVER QUINTET's "Finger Poppin'" on the "New York” labels of Blue Note BLP 4008. Musicians include Horace Silver - piano, Blue Mitchell - trumpet (tracks 1-3, 5, 6 & 8), Junior Cook - tenor saxophone (tracks 1-3, 5, 6 & 8), Gene Taylor - bass, Louis Hayes - drums.
VINYL plays very well, clean. A few hairline marks, none feelable. (If you can't feel it you won't hear it.) Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong. No Skips. No locked grooves. Very good gloss. A few non feelable hairline marks. The “New York” labels are clean, with spindle marks. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in good shape, a few wrinkles, laminate clean. Corners worn. Seams and spine generally clean with wear. 1” split top and bottom seams at opening. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 47 West 63rd St., New York 23, NY" back jacket generally clean, with minor stains, wear. Please see photos.
