Description
Up for auction is a copy of the Horace Silver album "Finger Poppin'" originally released in the U.S. on Blue Note Records (BLP 4008) in 1958.

Condition: The cover is still in nice condition with some light general signs of wear and age. Front lamination still retains much of its shine but shows rubbing and light ring wear. Back is generally clean, no writing or ring wear, but does show age discoloration along edges, and a couple moisture stains on top and left edges. Seams are strong, no splits or cracking. Corner show some chipping losses. Overall, still an attractive, intact cover. Grade the cover Very Good Plus (VG+).
The vinyl retains a good amount of shine with moderate signs of age and wear. No significant scratches or scuffs, but it does show a number of very light hairlines on both sides, nothing, though, that would cause problems with the quality of playback. Also has some very faint adhesion spots from the original paper inner sleeve--common with these old records, but again do not affect the playback. Labels look generally clean with only minor wear.
Play-Tested: The sound quality is still very good, when played in recommended Mono Mode, with some common light surface noise in the run-in grooves of each side, and then here and there. It doesn't compete or overwhelm or distract from the music. Has nice, full-bodied mono sound. No skips or loud pops, but it does have light ticks as expected. Not audiophile clean, but still a very good listening copy. Grade it Very Good Plus (VG+).
