This is my VG / VG condition UK ORIGINAL WHITE LABEL / RED SCRIPT, ISLAND records copy of this RARE ROCK STEADY LP - ILP 957. The vinyl is in great general shape, but a couple of light surface type marks and withdrawl marks on either side bring it down to VG. It plays well with just a little noise between the tracks and in the quiet bits. No skips or jumps. A clean on a modern machine, removing the dust of ages, would no doubt produce a great 'audio' copy! The labels are clean and tidy with just a couple of visible spindle marks. The laminated sleeve is in great general shape, but a small, but visible coffee stain on the otherwise 'WHITE' card of the rear makes it impossible to say EX. The spine is VERY strong and firm and is fully readable. The sleeve is actually in great shape, but these slight imperfections make it a VG in ebay terms! The record opening edge has one small, light laminate crease near the bottom and the white marks you may be able to see at the top of the front of the sleeve are simply some paper that has become stuck to the laminate and is easily removable if handled carefully. I never did this, as I like the records to be how they were when I found them and if you like, 'as nature intended', but a new owner may wish to clean them off! The white card, 'tabbed' rear sleeve is still WHITE apart from the coffee. It has been hardly handled, but the coffee stain and these other small imperfections make this a VG /VG copy. Bid with confidence, you will not be dissapointed! RARE and STILL A GREAT COPY!
