Hello and Welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on: 
TITLE/ARTIST: "Playing It Straight" by Homer and Jethro on the RCA Victor Records label (LPM 2459) in vintage original monaural sound, issued in 1962. 
CONDITION OF VINYL: VG++(Vinyl is glowing and beautiful, with a few light scuffs - graded visually using special daylight balanced spotlight). CONDITION OF JACKET: VG+(Jacket has edge, corner, ring wear, plus some sort of very old moisture damage along back spine, that's long since dried and has no apparent affect - please see photos of actual album offered). 
SPECIAL FEATURES: Very rare RCA Victor Records original issue of Homer and Jethro's superb (first) instrumental collection, featuring the amazing play of two of the all-time greats, with wonderful song selection. Excellent condition. Brief but interesting liner notes by Chet Atkins add to a very nice package. Please don't miss this classic. HERE'S THE SECRET: When this album was issued in 1962, it came as a major disappointment to H&J fans, who were expecting more wacky song parodies. Consequently, it sold almost no copies and is now extremely rare. What it is instead is a wonderful set of jazzy instrumentals that are perfect for either background or concentrated listening. In a word, pure FUN.

RATING SYSTEM: New (sealed in original wrap); Near Mint (very light wear and uniform glossy vinyl appearance; one or two light rubs on jacket surface or corner); VG++ (light wear that is visible but not audible; light wear to jacket edges or corners); VG+ (many marks on record surface that are lightly audible during quiet passages; small splits, marks, or tears on jacket); VG (surface covered with light scuffs or marks that are audible during all but loudest passages; jacket extensively marked, split, or torn: note: we only sell this grade on very rare records).
