She Lied / I Feel A Whole Let Better ~ The Bittersweett PRESTIGE Birmingham AL.The group is said to be from Fairfield, AL a Birmingham suburb. Not a typo, 2 Ts in Bittersweett. When I started seeking out Alabama Garage records 8 years ago this record was high on my want list. Collector friend Johnny Powell, who has since gone to that great record show in the sky, told me to “Not bother, you’ll never find a copy.” Only took 6 years to find a copy, purely by accident, in a platter pak box of nothing 45s… Rumored to have been less than 100 pressed. This song is included in the Psychedelic States: Alabama in the 60s Vol 1. NO COPIES of this 45 are listed as sold on popsike or discogs EVER. Clean labels, VG+ or better vinyl
