Description

Hitsville USA The Story Of Motown, A 25th Anniversary Special.

  • An 11 hour radio programme on 12 long playing discs produced by Stuart Grundy for the BBC to sell to USA radio stations complete with advertisements.
  • Lots of interviews with Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Temps etc etc.
  • I think it was broadcast in 1983 and is introduced by Richard Skinner each disc is a 55 minute programme and was sold and distributed to US radio stations by London Wavelength which may have been a subsidiary company of BBC Enterprises.
  • The 12 discs are in mint condition to look at (I have only played the first one) and are in a box (damaged)
  • Comes complete with a BBC transcription services booklet which gives details of each programme and where to break in with local sponsors adverts.
  • I'm not sure if this was broadcast in the UK or was just a USA programme.
  • Postage UK £8.50, signed for.
