HIGHWAY s/t MEGA-RARE rural psych LP private pressing ORIGINAL! MINT!
Highway: same 1975, USA/No label #584N11. Disc looks and sounds as if has been seldom if ever played---it is truly a gorgeous NEAR MINT! The cover has some very light wear, tight seams and no writing/bends/cutout holes/sawcuts, merely a little spot where a small sticker has been removed in the upper left corner of the front cover; we would conservatively grade the jacket a STRONG EX! As the cream rises to the top inside today's inner circle/collector scene of private press psych/progressive/outlaw albums from the 60s and early 70s, it is commonly known that this is one of THE premier power trio albums of all time! Stunning lyrical guitar/bass frameworks, excellent wasted vocals... imagine a dream cross between Wishbone Ash and the James Gang, aged with a veteran southern Minnesota trucker speed festival vibe. This album is extremely rare, especially in this condition. This stays in our owner's collection if we don't get what we think it's worth---which, we will admit, is quite a bit in these slow economic times, but worth every penny.About Us
Treehouse Records is the current incarnation of a series of storied record stores at the corner of 26th and Lyndale in south Minneapolis. After becoming Oar Folkjokeopus in 1972 it quickly emerged as the epicenter for the burgeoning 70s and 80s Twin Cities punk scene. Renamed Treehouse in 2001 after the Oar Folk manager took over the business, the store remains a staple of the Twin Cities underground/independent music community and the best source for used vinyl in the state.
