HIGH TIDE – “Sea Shanties” (1969) Liberty-7638 super rare original pressing Strong VG+/EX (cover/record)

One of the classic super heavy U.K. psych-prog albums of all time – the first of two by the band, which is comprised of Tony Hill on guitar, Simon House on violin, Peter Pauli on bass, and Roger Hadden on drums. The tracks are “Futilist’s Lament,” “Death Warmed Up,” “Pushed, But Not Forgotten,” “Walking Down Their Outlook,” “Missing Out,” and “Nowhere.” Super rare due to poor sales when released. This is massive and great. Just google it – you can read lots of informative reviews.

This is an original U.S. copy. The cover in nice shape with a little white on white wear, a bit of sticker residue on the front left top corner, and KUMM written in black marker on the lower right front cover. There is an impressed promo stamp in the upper front right corner and a little bit of tape residue, mostly on the front cover, in the middle of the spine. The cover is a gatefold. It has a 6-inch seam split in the top seam from the jacket opening in and a smaller 2-inch seam split at the bottom from the jacket opening in. The vinyl is super glossy and clean – really nice. I grade this conservatively VG+/EX (cover/record).

I package all LPs securely in record mailers and remove the vinyl from the covers to prevent seam splits during mailing. I do not just stick your record in a priority mailer box from the post office or between two thin pieces of cardboard with no additional packaging materials like so many others!!!
