Liz Story piano solos – SOLID COLORS – Windham Hill WH-1023 – ½ Speed – Factory Sealed
As with the great George Winston records from Windham Hill, this Liz Story release was made direct-to-two-track, ran at 30ips without any augmentation at all -- no noise reduction, limiting or compression -- then monitored through KEF loudspeakers from the UK. (Note, too, that the proceedings were ½ speed mastered at the JVC Cutting Centre by Jack Hunt.)
The end result is stunning piano reproduction in your listening room, as Liz delivers WEDDING RAIN, HYMN, WITHOUT YOU, SOLID COLORS, BRADLEY’S DREAM, WATER CAVES, and a tribute to Bill Evans, in PEACE PIECE, among others.
Beautiful stuff, wonderfully captured and pressed, here factory sealed. (Note the cover’s slightly crumpled corner.)

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
