Description
You won't find a better original example of this great LP. It's a UK pressing entitled 'Hi We're The Miracles' by The Miracles, the wonderful US RnB/soul group. It was released in 1963. It is pressed on the fantastic Oriole label label (Tamla series) and its catalogue number is PS40044. The songs are all RnB/soul classics. This album is a must for all serious collectors of great RnB/soul music and features the legendary Bill 'Smokey' Robinson on lead vocals.
OUTER SLEEVE - The sleeve which is a flipback type and is laminated on the front is in superb condition with some very minor creasing onthe front and very slight discolouration on the back whic is hardly noticeable. The top and bottom edges show virtually no wear or creasing and are in overall superb condition. The only very slight blemish some very minor wear on the bottom right front corner as you look at the front cover. The spine shows virtually no wear and the wording along the spine is 100% readable. It states on the front of the sleeve - 'SENSATIONAL AMERICAN HIT-MAKERS - iNCLUDES ''Shop Around'' - Produced by BERRY GORDY, Jr.' The flipbacks are in superb condition with some slight discolouration and one one or two very minor marksthere is write-up about the group and its members, track listings and at the bottom of the sleeve it states 'ORIOLE RECORDS LIMITED 104 NEW BOND STREET, LONDON, W.1. - Printed in England by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London.' There is virtually no ring wear on either side of the sleeve. I've graded the sleeve Ex+.
INNER SLEEVE - This is a plain diecut paper type with a clear polythene liner.
RECORD - This mono record is in lovely condition. There are some very minor surface marks on both sides but these result in hardly any audible surface noise even between tracks. There are no jumps or skips on either side. The textured labels which are the original black and yellow Oriole type with silver wording are in superb condition. There are virtually no spindle marks on either label. I genuinely don't think this record has been played very much. It states at the top of each label - 'ORIOLE LONG PLAYING'. Around the circumference of each label it states - 'ALL RIGHTS OF THE MANUFACTURER AND OF THE OWNER OF THE RECORDED WORK RESERVED - UNAUTHORISED PUBLIC PERFORMANCE, BROADCASTING AND COPYING OF THIS RECORD PROHIBITED - MADE IN ENGLAND'. On the right of each label it states - TAMLA SERIES'. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are as follows - side one - PS40044A - XCTV 65462-2KA - side two - PS4004B - XCTV 65463-2KA. I have graded the record as Ex and believe that this is very fair.
