Description

HI HOPES : Hi Hopes LP (Activity [USA] AR 696) 1973.

Record is excellent with minimal light sleeve scuffs only. Cover is also excellent with light ring wear and a few small tears to the seams and spine (no splits).

With order-form insert and 8-page "teacher's guide" lyric booklet (both excellent).

Nice original copy of the second LP released by the Anaheim CA Hope School for the "trainable mentally retarded". Like the first LP (Ability), this is a mix of originals by Music Teacher Doris Walker ("Label", "Ability", "Miracle", etc), and pop/rock covers ("King of the Road", "La Cucaracha", "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head", "Everything Is Beautiful", etc).

There were several more Hi Hopes LP but after this one they mostly had real non-disabled musicians helping out, with predictably dull results.
