Herbie’s People – Sweet and Tender Romance 7” (orig. Australia W&G MONO WG-S-2623, “PROMOTIONAL COPY NOT FOR SALE” red sticker)
Australian Release date: May 1966 (UK Release date: 12 November 1965).
On offer here is a VERY RARE original Australian PROMOTIONAL W&G issue of the debut 7” single by Bilston band HERBIE’S PEOPLE. I would love to know how this British CBS single ended up being licensed to the independent W&G Records label, especially considering there was an Aussie branch of CBS Records!
