Vinyl VG condition - some non-feelable scuffs and marks commensurate with age and grading - plays through without any skips jumps with just some light crackle noticeable in the run outs and quieter passages
A really top pressing of this iconic Herbie Hancock LP - mastering sounds superb! Full rich heavy, detailed first press Mono audio!
The thick card cover is in G condition with some corner scuffs, seam scuffs small burn and ink marks on rear , and the top and bottom seams have opened and come apart
Vinyl is housed in a generic off white inner sleeve EX
Overall a nice example of this EXTREMELY RARE and hard to find original LP

The album features performances by Hancock, Freddie Hubbard, Joe Newman, Phil Woods, Joe Henderson, Jim Hall, Ron Carter, and Jack DeJohnette. Although Jimmy Smith is credited with playing organ on the album some sources claim it was Paul Griffin that was present at the recording sessions.
The album also includes "Stroll On", a rewrite of Tiny Bradshaw's "Train Kept A-Rollin'", by the Yardbirds featuring Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. The liner notes to a 2000s CD release indicate that Hancock first recorded his score in London with British musicians, but rejected the results and re-recorded the music in New York with American jazz musicians. The bassline to "Bring Down the Birds" was sampled by Deee-Lite for their 1990 single "Groove is in the Heart."

Due to a house move I am reluctantly downsizing my large collection of vinyl LPs - mostly bought at the time of release and have had minimal play as I taped them back in the day and listened mainly on cassettes. I always tried to buy the earliest pressings and made sure all the extras, inserts, booklets, limited edition covers etc were included.
