MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original RCA Records very first Mono press released, made and distributed by RCA Victor Records in Chile in 1957, catalog number 47-6950, with machine etched matrix numbers 47/6950/A in Side A and 47/6950/B in Side B, with turquoise/silver RCA Victor Records labels with large center. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Herb Jeffries and early Rock’N’Roll music!!!

“Mailman, Bring Me No More Blues” was originally released in USA in June 1957 and the same year we got this single released here in Chile and with the same US RCA Victor Records catalog number. Song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and play time of each song, with the original price printed in Side A, “$720.-”. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE PRESS of Herb Jeffries never auctioned here in eBay before and with UNIQUE TURQUOISE RCA Victor Records labels and Spanish-written song titles!!! WOW!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in great VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many scuffs, soft hairlines and light scratches, with a very light warp, which don’t affect play. Labels are in great VG or VG+ condition both sides, clear and clean, with moderate spindle hole wear, little tears and some discoloration in the rim text in Side A and same spindle hole wear and a paper with some initials some past owner taped in Side B. The sound is in great VG or even VG+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with light constant crackles, more evident in the first and last seconds of each song, which of course don’t cause major distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, sure not for strict Minty minds or audiophiles, but sure this is still a great record in this UNIQUE PRESS, with a nice look and still with a very decent and respectable sound quality after about 62 years, which won’t disappoint anyone!!! And keep in mind this is the very first time this record is auctioned here in eBay!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

IMPORTANT TO READ

We are not responsible for all the taxes, duties, fees you could have to pay in your country, but I always declare the records as gift.
