Description
HENRYK SZERYNG in recital RCA LIVING STEREO LP shaded dog LSC-2421 RARE 1S/1S Indianapolis
ARTIST: Henryk Szeryng
TITLE: In Recital (LP)
LABEL: RCA Victor (LSC-2421)
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: U.S.A.
COVER CONDITION: MINT-. COVER LOOKS LIKE A NEW COVER WITH ALMOST NO WEAR. There is a small split on the top right of about an inch near the opening and some wear near the opening and the right bottom corner. There is a tag on the rear cover and mucilage from two tags.
VINYL: EXC+
PLAYBACK: THE TONE ON THIS DISK IS CLOSE TO THE MOST REALISTIC A VIOLIN CAN BE. THE PIANO IS RECEDED IN THE BACK RIGHT. THE VIOLIN TONE IS REALLY RICH AND DEEP AND YOU CAN HEAR SZERYNG’S BOWINGS AND HOW HE DRAWS SUCH A CLEAR TONE FROM HIS INSTRUMENT.
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST VIOLIN RECORDINGS I HAVE EVER HEARD. ONE OF THE OTHERS IS THE FAMOUS GRUMIAUX RECORDING OF THE FAURE SONATA.
Vinyl markings: both Sides have 1S, A1 and I for Indianapolis.
SIDE 1: EXC+. REALLY SHINY VINYL with a few hairline marks. There is a 3 inch hairline scratch from band 2 to band 3. There is a 1 inch hairline scratch in band 1. There are 5 nail marks in band 1 that do not sound and a nail mark in band 3 that does not sound.
SIDE 2: EXC+. AGAIN, VERY SHINY VINYL. A 1 INCH HAIRLINE SCRATCH IN BAND 1 AND A ¾ INCH SCRATCH AT THE END OF BAND 1. Bands 2 and 3 have a hairline 1 inch scratch as does band 6. Band 2 has a ½ inch scratch. But there are very few other marks. This has been played carefully. No spindle marks.
DETAILS: VERY hard to find Living Stereo LP!
