During the sixties Henry was one of the first musicians on the British jazz scene to experiment with total free improvisation, notably with Lyn Dobson, Jack Bruce and John Hiseman. He played with the original and seminal Mike Westbrook Band (which included Mike Osborne and John Surman), and also with John Dankworth. In the sixties Henry also worked on the rock scene with Manfred Mann, John Mayall and with Keef Hartley, with whom he appeared at the famous Woodstock festival in 1969! This is a very strong progressive, electric jazz record in the vein of Nucleus and Soft Machine. He plays trumpet and violin. CONDITIONS RECORD: Visually both sides with only a few surface marks/scratches with little sheen, seen in critical 100W light! Has been played and must be therefor grade as EXCELLENT++ or better!! Both sides of this great album play with only some clicks and pops. The sound quality of this classic vintage pressing-thick, heavyweight press is still full!! LABELS: Both 1st press labels are still in EXCELLENT condition with only minimal spindle marks. COVER: Front-only laminated cover with no tape, no splits. No writings, no stamps, no stickers. No edge and spine wear! No ring wear! Rear with a little water damage on bottom. Nothing difficult!! Only tiny creases, a few marks and a little browning (a little more than the photo shows)!! This wonderful cover must be grade still as VERY GOOD++! SUMMARY One of the UK jazz classics!!!
