HUGELY RESPECTED Welsh rural progresssive rock band who's work really hit home many years after the band had split up. A wonderful amalgam of folky progressive rock with a stunning west coast (US) style psych feel ala Quicksilver Messendger Service...lots of sinewy guitar solos and a beautiful laid back rural vibe like Traffic gate crashing a closed door rehearsal session with the Band. The thing about Help Yourself is that they inspire utter devotion in the listener; captivating, warm, friendly and hugely inviting this was one band that flew below the radar at the time but thankfully, as I said earlier, they've been reappraised and identified by those who know about such things as one of the most staisfying groups of the era. Tis a pity that they were vastly overlooked at the time.

One of the other excellent things about the band was their penchant for great artwork and 'Beware The Shadow' is no exception - one of the most striking covers of the early seventies. I can't tell you how many hourse I've spent listening to this album whilst simultaeneously pouring over the cover.

Beautiful near mint copy.

This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Pressing: UA, UK, 1972

Vinyl: Beautiful virtually unplayed condition. A few faint spindle marks but no other signs of use. Grades as almost shop fresh MINT!

Cover: Again virtually no signs of use. Issued in a beautifully designed fully laminated cover - retains full gloss. Sharp corners (one extremely minor ding), no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff, square and totally uncrushed. Impossible to find like this after 44 years. Grades as top shop fresh MINT-!
