VERY RARE Psych/Funk LP... HELL BENT featuring Frank Motley & The Hitch-Hikers....and King Herbert & The Knights. (Paragon ALS-279) Canada This is one from our own personal collection, and it's one that rarely comes up for sale... Record has a few cosmetic surface marks...including one on side A that extends across to the edge (tried to capture these with camera but couldn't get a really clear shot) so visually i'll call it VG.... but man oh man....it sounds fantastic....honestly...it would be very difficult to find one that sounds better. I have included audio/video clips below, of the actual entire record from start to finish, so you can hear the quality for yourself. These are just raw, unfiltered clips....with no editing or enhancements whatsoever. Please take the time to listen to the entire clips, and you can judge the audio grade from these. Jacket still has most of it's original shrinkwrap....the shrinkwrap has a bit of dusty looking stuff underneath in places..I was going to take it off at first, but decided to just leave it there. Has a ding on one corner edge (see the photos) VG+
Here's a general grading guide we use for LPs and 45 RPM Records. NM.....Like new, with only the very slightest signs of having ever been played EX.....Nice clean record that has been extremely well cared for. Possibly a few very light surface marks, but these would be very minor. VG+....Nice record that is starting to show some signs of handling upon close inspection. Usually has a few surface marks...mostly just cosmetic. VG.....Surface marks starting to become a bit more apparent, but a very decent sounding/playing record. VG-....Surface marks/wear more plentiful and noticeable. Still a decent player though. G/G+...Anything in this grade will have lots of surface marks/wear. Still plays decent, and often sounds decent as well. Fair....Pretty rough looking...likely to have very noticeable background noise throughout. Poor...Basically a wall hanger.
