"WHEN HE COMES HOME TO ME" b/w "(I've Got) Sand In My Shoes"
Warner Bros Pictures Inc. -- Disc No. R7929 -- Circa 1930s-1950s. There are so many different signs on this acetate as to age...that I am really having trouble narrowing it down, other than I THINK the recording of "When He Comes Home to Me" is from a 1930s film...so again.....
very Hard to determine the year. And again, this is just the best I can figure -- this comes from a 1930s film recording. And her version of "When He Comes Home to Me" is chillingly beautiful.
A couple of interesting side-notes. An acetate with this same RARE Warner Bros Logo sold on eBay in 2014 for $1000+. I don't know much about it, other than the artist was Judy, and the condition was roughly the same from what I recall. I am guessing my offer is QUITE fair. About condition, read on, because you are NOT buying this for the condition.....
Museum-worthy as a piece of historically significant music / acetate. THE CONDITION is pretty lousy, with numerous surface scratches etc. One good cleaning would definitely be a big help but this is not really meant to have and play. It's meant to have and collect, and keep for time in-memoriam.
