Up for bids is a very rare original, self-titled Jazz LP by the great, Helen Merrill. 
EMarcy Records. MG-36006. 1954. 
AUTHENTIC, ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING WITH BLUE TINTED PRINT ON BACK OF COVER!
Front of cover is laminated.
Record is pressed on vinyl.
Deep Groove.
The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.
Cover is in VG to VG+ condition. Has some minor wear on front and back. Cover had a 5/8" split on the top by the corner and an 8" split from opening to middle on the bottom (these have been corrected with Scotch Gift Wrapping tape, which was applied tightly and blends beautifully). Still a damn good-looking example of this rare cover!
Record's condition has an interesting grade. Please read below: 
For Side A, track 1 (for the song "Don't Explain" alone), condition is VG Minus. For some reason, this track (and only this track) plays with heavy distortion at different points. I'm guessing the original owner either loved it a lot, or maybe played it too much using a 78 stylus. I'm just being honest here folks.
All the other songs I would grade as VG++. They play beautifully with plenty of life left in them. Sounds amazing on my player! Otherwise, aesthetically the record has a couple of minor marks that do not affect play.
