HELEN MERRILL S/T EmArcy MG-36006 Drummer Logo/Blue Back Deep Groove -True 1st pressing
1955 EmArcy MG-36006 Mono First Pressing, silver rimmed label, Deep Groove laminated cover with blue printing to back. Matrix stampers: Side 1: [YMG 36006 MF2 A1 1] Side 2: [YMG 36006 MF1 A1 1]
Has an interesting COVER ERROR – the photo on back identifies Clifford Brown as “Clark Terry” (see Photo). This may have been how all the original covers were manufactured, but I’ve never seen any references to this error anywhere; and perhaps this is a very-early cover that was withdrawn by EmArcy – which would make it even RARER than “regular” Blue Backs.
COVER - VG+ CONDITION WITH A Repaired PARTIAL SEAM SPLIT along bottom edge and small repaired split along top edge . Original inner sleeve has small tear/partial seam split
VINYL - VG/VG+ CONDITION -some scuffs and light scratches - Plays well-NO skips, PLAYS MUCH BETTER THAN IT LOOKS
MOST OF THE ALBUM PLAYS WITH occasional LIGHT SURFACE NOISE AND OCCASIONAL POPS/CLICKS. THERE IS SOME DISTORTION in 1 song on side 2 (quiet passages )
