Description
I always sort of planned on keeping this but figured I may as well let it go as a final offering of sorts. When I pressed this way back in ol' 2007 I ended up with 1101 copies instead of the 1000 I originally intended. There is a very detailed description of the pressing that someone pointed me in the direction of here: http://www.discogs.com/Heavens-Patent-Pending/release/1911486 and for the most part everything is there. I can't remember exactly where all the low numbered copies ended up but 1 and 9 went to me, 2 to Matt, 3 to Ben Lovett (producer), 4 to Ryan Hewitt (mixer), 5 to Matthew "Cornbread" Compton (multi instrumentalist extraordinaire), 6 to anonymous ebay user, 7 to Peter Curtis (Roadie/Videographer), 8 to a close friend and 10 to Bryan Sheffield (photographer). The first three sets of test pressings went to Matt, Ben and myself. A lot of information maybe but at the same time it may be of use to someone, somewhere, sometime. A truly normal person would not care but no matter how hard I try to bury him the life-long record collector in me feels obligated to share the knowledge. That being said, up for auction is the rouge copy. It's numbered 0 out of 1000 because at the time I did not know that I had 1001 copies aside from the extra 100 that I had already prepared for vinyl collective and everything was already marked ?/1000. Maybe 1001/1000 would have looked funnier but I also have the feeling the zero is possibly someone's favorite number. Also lonelier than the number 1 but Harry Nilsson would lead you to believe otherwise. It would even make more sense that I just happened to miss a copy along the way (maybe in the eight or nine hundreds when my brain/hand wasn't on top of it's game?) but I swear I went through it all with a fine toothed comb. So, anyway...here it is, the absolute very last Heavens item that I can offer to whoever is paying attention. It's finally all gone and now that myspace let me properly delete the page the final chapter is over, the book can be closed. Free shipping and all that in the states...love and peace to everyone!!!
