HEART MAGAZINE - ORIGINAL SEALED 1977 Mushroom Records LP w/ Cover Disclaimer. This is new and still sealed from my own personal stash. While normally a sealed record would be a M/M or close to that there is some distress to the cover so I'm gonna be conservative and say NM/VG+ for the record/cover though it could be better. It comes with a copy of the second version album, though that is only in G to G- condition (visible wear to the cover and noticable pops and surface noise.) Why two? In case you wanted to do a comparison of the 1977 and 1978 versions, plus I'm cleaning out my stash and I already have a pristine copy of the '78 version.
If you're not familiar with the Disclaimer Album, Heart was in a royalty dispute with Mushroom so they stopped recording their second album. Mushroom decided that the unfinished “Magazine” should be released and brought in producer Rolf Hennemann to prepare the tracks. The six studio tracks were re-mixed, and to fill out the rest of the LP two songs were selected from a live recording that Heart had made in 1975. Heart sued and won and stopped the release (not until after they had been on sale for a few days) but still owed Mushroom a second album so during March of 1978, the band re-recorded all of the vocals, and replaced some of the instrumental parts on the studio tracks. All of the tracks were re-edited and/or re-mixed. Only the short “Here Song” remained unchanged from the first release. There's a disclaimer on the back cover (pictured) of the 1977 version. The wear and distress to the shrink wrap is pictured. There are a couple images that show slight differences in printing and the last image is the 1978 back cover. It's also got the original price sticker from Strawberry Jams in Spokane. Selling price includes media mail shipping though Priority is available (though that costs a bit since it's a 2+ pound box.)
