HD audio link at the bottom of the page both sides, CD quality streaming audio with no filtration on the A side, since the B Side was in EP format at nearly 6 minutes, I employed a light tick filter for my archival purposes, since there are only a few copies, I wanted to make this a good attempt at topping the fidelity of the CD version, which is taken from another vinyl source and comes off sounding a bit dark and digitized! Enjoy!  
THE DEBUT SINGLE! ULTRA RARE MISSING PSYCH MONSTER! Locally pressed and in microscopic numbers, the same band that released the classic Street Suite, of which a total of 100 copies were pressed, still becoming a highly sought after pyche LP with several reissues... this is an original 45 from 1968 in VG+... extremely rare and sought after, pre-dating the LP by a year! The fuzz and production on both numbers is outstanding, not to mention the double bass drumming and heavy, HEAVY sound!  Though this 45 was included on the Street Suite CD reissue (or on SOME of them, at least) the original sources for the CD were from vinyl… so considering there were only very few of these ever pressed, this may be among the best or better copies you will ever hear, including the CD. Apparently the original band manager held out against handing over the original master tapes, which are still in existence... for what reason? We don't know... It would have been nice to hear these songs with a little modern day polish... I didn't get to find out if there was a stereo master for this single, but considering how things were done back then, I think that mono was probably what was used for the master, as it was intended for 45 release, ALTHOUGH this 45 label was releasing stereo issues concurrently with other artist at this time and this copy being among the best out there with low to moderate play and wear. The group often included two other singles with the LP when they sold it locally at gigs, but this one was not included with it, as it was an earlier release, making it among the most prized psych nuggets ST Louis has to offer.

The following was from a Facebook conversation with the Drummer Ovid that played on the LP with the band. Thought it was interesting info! The CD, it seems, though the masters were available, was not made using the tapes, but from existing vinyl copies, of which only a handful exist. This copy being in very nice condition may offer a better experience than the actual CD! Listen and decide for yourself.

Jim  Cool! I've had a few of the LP's over the years… it's pretty rare to see any of them, as you know! Apparently just 100 copies of the Lp pressed and all… I think I saw TWO of them! LOL Great stuff though! Historic! They've reissued it with this and other tracks on it… and I think it's sold way more than 100 the second time around! Like · Reply · 16 hrs 
Ovid  I have a copy of the re-released cd. Interesting to look back on. The guy contacted me because I was the only one he could find online. Then there was some disagreement between Ray and Joe over who had the rights to the songs. Ray has the rights; Joe has the tapes. Anyway I talked them into sending me a copy. I was wondering if the tapes even existed, as I know sometimes they can disappear or you know… get TAPED OVER for the next band! heheh… I have done a few indie and major label productions here in my house, and I couldn't tell you where the masters are now! Jim  Aww… so he was the manager, right? That sucks! After all this time, he should have been glad to get the best version out there! Although, having done a number of remaster projects, it could have indeed been from a clean copy of the record! LOL… tapes are delicate! Just setting one on a TV can erase them! Like · Reply · 16 hrs   Jim One project I did was of a band from the early 60's and the master was literally flaking the oxide media off the tape as it went… I took a deep breath and told the guy… "we have one shot!" hit play and recorded it one time through… and at the end, there was a pile of rust colored shavings and a reel of CLEAR TAPE… it worked though! Ovid   There was a lot of history involved there. Different bands trading members around. Kinda fascinating how it all evolved. I was in the mix for a while but really couldn't keep up. I don't know if you were aware, but there's a web page that is a wealth of info about St. Louis bands.
