Beacon Street Union-The Eyes Of The Beacon Street Union (MGM E 4517) MONO WHITE LABEL PROMO (Note: this is the super rare West Coast Pressing). LOW STARTING BID.
**LISTEN TO THE MONO MIX OF "SADIE SAID NO" ON THE SOUND SAMPLE BELOW**

Vinyl is strong VG+ plays VG++. Side 1 label has “WLSU G-244” written in black marker on the left side of label (see scan). Side 2 label is clean.
Jacket is VG+ with radio station call letters WLSU written in black marker twice on front cover, twice on back cover, and on the inside right panel. There’s a small 1” by 1” left seam tear two inches below the top left corner. And also a light “G-S” barely visible written in light ink on the top left front corner. Top right corner has a 2” top seam split.
Note: Stock US copies are all stereo, so promo copies are the only way to get this specific mix (However it was commercially released in the UK as a mono stock pressing which is equally tough to find.) 
Very respectable copy of ultra rare 1967 “Not For Sale” white label DJ pressing with alternate dedicated MONO mix. Note: there are striking audio differences throughout from the much more common Stereo pressing, and especially noticeable on “Sadie Said No” which doesn’t have the extreme left/right separation phasing weirdness. This is also the much harder to find and sonically superior West Coast promo pressing with the old style MGM white label and the Lion logo on top. (The East Coast promo pressing has the yellow label with “M-G-M Special Disc Jockey Record” on top of label and no art logo.) 
After March of 1968 Mono records were very rarely produced making this and other Mono records produced from early 1968 and on extremely rare. This pressing hardly ever shows up so don’t miss out.
I’ve been wanting to hear this mono version for years. The promo copies of this LP aren’t especially expensive when they show up (relatively speaking, of course — there was one listed on eBay recently for $100) but they barely ever show up, and when they do, they’re rarely in mint condition. After finally getting a very nice copy of this record for an exceptionally reasonable price, I was delighted to find that the mono mix of this album is a dedicated mix with phenomenal, powerful, and incredibly psychedelic sound. The stereo mix of this album has unbalanced mixing with weird channel phasing, while this mono mix has a clear soundstage and emphasizes the psychedelic nature of the album. This is the first and only white-label variation of this record I’ve ever seen anywhere. The usual promo labels are the east-coast yellow variations, where the “Bosstown Sound” Boston-based bands were more popular. Whatever it is, it sounds great! 
**UPDATE MAY 2019** -- I've now tracked down one of the yellow-label versions, expecting it to be a sonic upgrade to this west coast pressing of an east coast band, but was surprised to find that the white-label copy actually sounds better than its more common yellow counterpart.
