POSSIBLY THE RAREST ARTIFACT for the Salsoul label! Unreleased debut recording for the label. On a hand-made studio acetate directly from the master tape, from the artist that named the label with his own style and genre of soul! SALSOUL... nearly six minutes on a 45 RPM 10" inch studio lacquer. Generations Sound Studio was in the basement of, I believe, the old Brill building on Broadway in NY and before the 1972 name change was known as Allegro Studios, a more famous name than the latter.
There is no standard issue of this studio acetate, as they are hand made, they are usually made in batches of tens?... This is PROBABLY the rarest of this label's output, being the FIRST song recorded for the lable that was named for the previous LP for this artist! Since there is no record of this, and it's from the actual studio that recorded the aritst in NY... pretty cool! This is a handmade studio LACQUER, but acetate has become more of a generic term so... There is a little flaking of the media that you can hear at the beginning. These weren't made to last this long or be played with any regularity, so understand that it's so very rare to see an original from 1973 of a famous song that didn't get released! Check out the audio to know exactly what you're getting aside from this being a super rare collectible, it's an audiophile's dream, hearing a direct to disc cut from the original master tape on 45 RPM ten inch lacquer disc!
