Description
THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR AN LP BY HAWKWIND ENTITLED "THE SPACE RITUAL" RELEASED IN THE UK IN 1973 ON UNITED ARTISTS CATALOGUE NUMBER UAD 60038. THIS IS A RARE DOUBLE VINYL UK FIRST PRESS WITH THE MATRIX NUMBERS OF A-2U, B-2U, A-2U AND B-2-U. THE GREAT THING ABOUT THIS COPY IS THAT IT HAS HAD VERY FEW PLAYS WITH ONLY ONE OR TWO SPINDLE MARKS VISIBLE UNDER A STRONG LIGHT.
THE DOUBLE VINYL IS VISUALLY IN EXCELLENT++ CONDITION WITH A LOVELY DEEP SHEEN AND CLEAN GROOVES-IT LOOKS REALLY GREAT. THE RECORD PLAYS THROUGH WITHOUT ANY SKIPS OR JUMPS AND NO AUDIBLE CLICKS OR TICKS. THERE IS SOME VERY OCCASIONAL VERY VERY LIGHT BACKGROUND NOISE WHICH IS VERY SLIGHTLY MORE PREVALENT ON SIDE 4 BUT I CANNOT UNDERESTIMATE HOW GOOD THE AUDIO IS AND WHAT A PLEASURE IT WAS TO LISTEN TOO. I AM HAPPY TO GRADE THE AUDIO AS EXCELLENT++.
THE LABELS ARE IN EXCELLENT+++ CONDITION AS ALREADY STATED AND LOOK SUPERB.
THE FOLDOUT SLEEVE IS IN VERY GOOD+ CONDITION WITH NORMAL STORAGE WEAR TO THE CORNERS AND SOME CREASING. IT IS FREE FROM RIPS OR TEARS-PLEASE SEE THE PHOTO'S.
THE LP COMES WITH ITS ORIGINAL ORANGE/RED INNERS WHICH ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION BUT WILL BE SENT IN NEW INNERS TO AVOID TEARS.
OVERALL A REALLY SUPERB COPY OF A GREAT LP.
PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR OTHER CLASSIC ROCK LPS
I use the Record Collector guide to grade my records-see below
The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk at a cost of £3.00. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 which includes international signed for delivery as mandatory. Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but again this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.
Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced
