I am offering here the rarest of all the Hawkwind singles. A demo of their stunning first single HURRY ON SUNDOWN backed with MIRROR OF ILLUSION on the blue LIBERTY label.
This is not the best copy of this rare classic you will find but it is a lovely find for either a juke box or to frame.
Audibly I would say it plays good to very good. I have just played it on a Linn turntable and it plays through nicely free from any sticks or jumps with just some light crackle to be heard.
The Blue labels labels tho missing the centre, Unusually are free from any unwanted graffiti as most demos do have ugly stamps etc.
The original LIBERTY bag is here and free from any splits etc but does have a cat number neatly written in the corner.
I must also stress if you intend bidding that the record does not lay totally flat on the turntable, It is nothing major but I don't like to miss lead potential buyers, I originally paid £200 for this and all in all it does play really well .
