Description
Here is The Bewitched (excerpted) A Dance Satire by Harry Partch on Gate 5 records Issue E. 33 1/3, 12" vinyl LP. Composed in 1955. I believe recorded in 1956. Included is a 15 page booklet with each instruments origin, etc. also a small insert as well.
I was told this was actually owned by Harry but I have no proof. See his personal ink stamp on the back of the LP and also on an insert. Who else would have Harry's ink stamp? Not a common LP.
What an incredible modern composer and this record is very listenable. Percussion with some human voices. I think he worked with John Cage at some point.
Condition:
Vinyl: EX with only the lightest wear like sleeve scuffs. Silent and gorgeous.
Cardboard sleeve: VG+ with soft edges and some storage toning on the back. Slight ring wear if you're looking for it.
Inner sleeve: Good but with overall wear and toning, creases.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: actual photo of your album, not a stock photo.
This record was carefully tested and examined in bright light. I have been a brick and mortar record dealer in SFV since 1987 and a 100% positive eBayer since 1999.
