Harold Winston "Harry" Beckett (30 May 1935 – 22 July 2010) was a British trumpeter and flugelhorn player of Barbadian origin. Born in Bridgetown, Saint Michael, Barbados, Harry Beckett learned to play music in a Salvation Army band. A resident in the UK since 1954, he had an international reputation. In 1961, he played with Charles Mingus in the film All Night Long. In the 1960s he worked and recorded within the band of bass player and composer Graham Collier. Beginning in 1970, he led groups of his own, recording for Philips, RCA and Ogun Records among other labels.
Item Description/Condition.
This is a first issue album release from 1971 on the Orange RCA Record Labels. Manufactured in the UK on a quality vinyl LP with original glossy front laminated UK Manufactured picture sleeve.
Both Record Labels and both sides of the quality LP are in stunning Mint condition, super clean unmarked record labels, and a beautiful unmarked vinyl LP with stunning surfaces to both sides. The sound quality and music content of this album is without doubt absolutely stunning with a great play back quality too, without pops, clicks or background noise.
The matrix’s are. Side 1, AGBS 0040-1 E and Side 2, AGBS 0041-2 E.
The LP is housed in its original glossy front laminated Picture Sleeve and is in superb Excellent to Excellent Plus condition with a a super front panel with just mild LP storage signs, both edges and spine edge are free from splits, and the back panel of the sleeve shows age spots (foxing).
