Description

For auction is HAROLD LAND's "The Fox," Contemporary S7619, Stereo, DG, 1969. With Dupree Lewis, Elmo Hope, Herbie Lewis and Frank Butler. Re-Issue of Hifijazz LP 612.


SOUND: NM

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Wow! It sounded like the band was in the room with me! Absolutely perfect to my ear... clear, clean, powerful!


VINYL: NM

Visually, the vinyl is gorgeous. There is pin-head smudge on side b and a couple larger smudged areas on side A. That's it. If you aren't looking under bright light, the vinyl appears new. The dark green labels have deep grooves and are darn near perfect.


JACKET: NM-

The jacket is outstandingly clean. The edges and spine are solid and straight, with hardly a touch of wear. The corners are fairly sharp (and I don't use that word often.) front and back covers are unmarked, with only the most minimal evidence of aging or wear.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability. 


Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.  


If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
