Description

HAROLD ALEXANDER – Sunshine Man (1971) Flying Dutchman-10145 – EX/EX (cover/vinyl) WHITE LABEL PROMO

Amazing funk jazz by this great flute and sax player backed by Neal Creque on electric piano, Richard Landrum on conga, Richard Davis on bass and electric bass and Bernard “Pretty” Purdie on drums. This really is one of the all-time great genre LPs, and it is super funky. The tracks are “Sunshine Man,” “Quick City,” “Tite Rope,” “Mama Soul,” “Aquilla,” and “Clean-Up.” These are very rare now.

This is a beautiful copy. The laminated gatefold cover is tight and crisp and intact with a promo sticker on the front cover that is partially covered with a price sticker. There’s a little bit of lamination peeling on the back cover near the jacket opening, but it’s not bad at all. This is a super nice cover. The WHITE LABEL PROMO vinyl is beautiful with only a few faint sleeve scuffs – it is clean and glossy and beautiful. I grade this conservatively: EX/EX (cover/vinyl).

This is an original pressing. I do not sell modern reissues.
