HARMONY CATS THEME / SUCCESS SOUND ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by HARMONY CATS. Original Italian pressing on DERBY label (DBR 10021), from 1977. Superior, Italian issue of the killer HARMONY CATS THEME comped and edited by Kon and Amir for their influential Kings of Diggin' selection. Sophisticated, Brazilian disco with tropical funk and soft rock motifs. The thunderous hip hop beats intro is to die for too ;) Heavy, exotic sound with stoned guitars / dub bassline / afro percussion / cosmic synth and strings / flute / hammond / horn stabs and sexy female scat chorus. Great for DJs with booming production. Similar nuances to Hogtied by Chain Reaction and released on the same cult label as the Wil Collins & Willpower - Anything I Can Do - modern soul anthem. The Italian 7inch also has the best picture sleeve (showing a group shot of the Harmony Cats ;) An item usually always trashed but our copy has minty vinyl ;) Rare 45 in this condition!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is closer to shiny M- condition with a few faint scuffs from storage. Some light surface noises. Booming production sound. Item most probably unplayed prior to the recording of our soundclip. The soft card picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition overall regardless of the chipping / edge wear marks (mostly all to the top seam and upper spine side. Otherwise, as good as it gets. Just a little creasing in places and a touch of wear to bottom right corner. Rare 45!!!
