German ensemble Harmonia embedded a distinct niche in the 1970s experimental scene, with their second album, Deluxe, squeezing out from the tube and marking a turning point in the cosmic rockers' sound. Where their debut wandered through ambient textures and exploratory jams, Deluxe emphasized tighter structures, sustained synth-linear twirls and rhythmic clarity, playing up a more approachable yet inventive side. The lineup of Michael Rother (Neu!), Hans-Joachim Roedelius, and Dieter Moebius (Cluster) created a palette that would later influence Brian Eno, who described Harmonia as "the world's most important rock band." Fans now have a fresh way to explore tracks like 'Deluxe (Immer Wieder)', 'Walky-Talky' and 'Notre Dame', as the tracks now come paired with previously unissued archival photos.
