Description

Meher Baba Association MBO-1

ARTIST: pete townshend, others
TITLE: happy birthday (meher baba)

PRESSING: i think this is the 2nd press from 1977.

DISC CONDITION: [presumed] NM (still sealed.)

JACKET CONDITION: NM (mostly sealed, light seam wear on top.)

NOTES: incredibly rare pete townshend record which was presented to meher baba for his birthday. reportedly limited to 2,500 copies for the first press, and a similar amount for this second press. (see wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happy_Birthday_(1970_album) .) this copy was found in a local record store and appears to be sealed. note that much of the shrink wrap from the top left corner is missing, and some is pulling up from the bottom right, but the rest appears to be an original seal. I say that it appears to be an original seal since it looks like a circular sticker on the top middle was at one point removed from the shrink wrap (most likely a peaches sticker), and the side seam looks perfect.
TRACKS:

Side one

  1. "Content" (poem by Maud Kennedy, music by Pete Townshend)
  2. "Evolution" (Ronnie Lane)
  3. "Day of Silence"
  4. "Allan Cohen Speaks" (sitar accompliment Vytas Serelis)
  5. "Mary Jane"
  6. "Allan Cohen Speaks" (words by Meher Baba)
  7. "The Seeker" (demo)

Side two

  1. "Begin the Beguine" (by Cole Porter, sung by Pete Townshend)
  2. "With a Smile Up His Nose They Entered" (instrumental by Ron Geesin)
  3. "The Love Man"
  4. "Meditation" (poem by Mike da Costa)

DISCLAIMER - the LP was found [by me] in this apparently sealed condition, and will be sold as is. Seller presumes vinyl is NM, but will not open seal to verify. Buyer assumes this risk.

I use the following goldmine-based grades: NM(-), EX, VG+, VG. I don't sell anything with a lower grade unless it's very rare, and I don't grade anything mint. Grading information can be found here: http://www.eskimo.com/~bpentium/beatles/grading.html .

Shipping will be $4.00 media, $6.00 to canada, about $14.00 for international. Priority mail available upon request. I always combine shipping.

***Will not ship to Italy.***

I prefer paypal. Please feel free to email with any questions. Thanks and good luck!
