Description
Up for auction is a super nice copy of the Hank Mobley album "Hi Voltage" released on Blue Note Records (BST 84273) in 1968. This is a guaranteed original stereo pressing with "VanGelder" stamped in the deadwax. Correct original labels read "Blue Note Records - A Division Of Liberty Records, Inc." Still in opened, original factory shrink wrap. Includes original factory Blue Note inner sleeve.
Cover is in beautiful condition, still in opened shrink wrap. No signs of ring wear, chipping or dings. Corners are sharp, no bumps. Seams are strong, no splitting. There is a very tiny white mark in the upper left part of the cover where is shrink wrap has a hole in it (see photo). Back cover is very clean, bone white, no age discoloration or writing or ring wear. I'd grade this cover Near Mint (NM).
The vinyl is also in beautiful condition, with no scratches or scuffs. Retains its original high gloss shine. Very few signs of previous handling or play. Labels are bright and clean, no marks around spindle holes. Play tested, the record sounds clean and strong, no real signs of any background noise to distract you from the music. Plays beautifully. I'd grade the vinyl Near Mint (NM). Very hard to up-grade.
