Description

LP: Hank Mobley. Hank Mobley. Blue Note BLP 1568. Original Mono pressing with the 47 West 63rd NYC address on side 1 and the rare 47 West 63rd New York 23 address on side 2. The heavy vinyl has also the double sided deep groove label and the "ear" & RVG stamp in the the dead wax. The album has no "R" or "Inc". The cover is laminated. NOTE (taken from previous offers on eBay): "The Holy Grail of Jazz collectors, 1568 was pressed in a very limited number. 500 total LP's were made on one run only. The first 200 used the NY 23 label on side two, the rest were the 47 W 63rd NY. All of them were the deep groove, and all of them came from the same run."  Rare first edition! 

CONDITION RECORD/COVER: VG+ (superficial scuffs, no deep scratches, occasional slight background/surface noise audible, Sound is clean and full bodied without distortion) / VG-  (centre of spine shows some lamination missing and is splitted (4 inches) as shown on last picture, all corners (approx. 1/2 inch splits at corners of the open side) and the open side have light general wear, on the rear side of the cover are small marks from age on the lower left side, also a circular ink mark on the upper part)  Strict grading; grading sequence: M/VG/G
