WHAT YOU GET -
EEC BLUE VINYL LP (SM001)
CONDITION -
This record is in great condition - the vinyl is near mint. The sleeve is excellent with some minor edgewear.
DESCRIPTION -
The Smiths on dark blue vinyl! Limited to 0nly 87 worldwide, this one is numbered 67. This LP is a complete recording of their third live performance on the new bands showcase at The Hacienda, Manchester on 4th Feb 1983. The Smiths were booked with 52nd Street, a funk band on Factory Records and most people in the audience were present to see the headliners, not the support group. The concert was part of a series at that period exposing what the Hacienda thought was "the best of Manchester". Other bands to have appeared in the preceding weeks were The Chameleons and James who also have become quite famous since then. To give a little life and a human side to the grey Hacienda, the place was filled by Morrissey with flowers, beginning a recognisable tradition (fans bringing flowers) that would last many years.
