original 1974 french 1st pressing.
condition of the vinyl is VG+
It looks in excellent condition with little or no spindle ware , but there may be the odd faint mark if examined under light .

I have test played the record and it plays like new , very minimal to no background noise . No clicks or pops.

Lafayette Afro Rock Band (also known as Ice) were actually from the States and relocated to this less noisy Paris funk scene in the early 70s. This is one of two coveted LARB releases for its scorching instrumental jazz funk and world famous MPC fodder. 1974's Malik contains the highly sampled "Darkest Light" that's bound to give you early 90s flashbacks of bikini clad hip hop hoes on Daytona Beach. Other strong tracks include the talk box orgy "Conga" and the Rhodes driven shuffler "Raff". The original pressing on America Records is rather rare, so prepare to pay. Thankfully there have been some high quality reissues throughout the years that will more than satisfy any ravenous funk aficionado.
