Rare Record from one of the All Time Great session men. Hal Blaine played with so many top acts that it makes one ponder when the guy slept. From The Ronettes to Elvis to The Byrds, he was considered to be an elite drummer and sought out by Giants of the music biz. His discography credits read like a who's who of '60s rock. This is a little known album that he cut the year of the Psych. movement and all though he was best known for sitting in on amazing pop records, one has to wonder what he was listening to in his off time? Floyd, The Dead, Mellow Candle, these influences can all be heard on this record. This is one of those records that should not be such as James Brown's - Sho Is Funky Down Here, is not so much funk but a fuzzy acid rocker. For the counter culture, Blaine was too mainstream and therefore did not sell a ton of copies. To those that listen with an open "Head" this album is a pure delight!
