Description
I will be listing 50 or so classic rock/prog albums, all of which have come from a very well looked after collection. Most of which have been stored in plastic sleeves which would explain the remarkable condition of many of the sleeves, some of which are as close to mint as you could get.
Some great titles to be listed, including Hawkwind, Yes, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Santana, Free Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. Many of them 1st pressings in timewarp condition.
This auction is for a superb copy of The Groundhogs debut studio album Scratching The Surface from 1968 on Liberty - LBL 83199E MONO
Please note all the details including Matrix numbers etc.
All the relevant details should be present for all interested parties.
Please don't hesitate to email me though if you want any more information.
The Groundhogs - Scratching The Surface
This is their debut album of authentic low down dirty blues, recorded in Nov 1968
Price reflects the stunning condition.
This is a superb record and very rare and sought after in this condition. Both vinyl and sleeve are superb. The spine is pretty sharp still with no damage, very little edgewear.
Vinyl is: Shiny and glossy and doesn't look like it's had much play. Side A - Excellent - 4 very small light scuffs that do not effect play Side B VG+ - There's a small scuff towards the end of track 2 that you can feel if you run your finger over it and there is an audible pop when the needle goes over it but it's very slight but significant enough to mention and drop a grade.
Laminated Cover - VG+. It would be excellent other than some laminate lift front and back along the spine, no holes or tears though and there's a small 3mm spot top left where it's lost a bit to the surface (See Images). Very minor ring wear can be seen in bright light.
The inner sleeve is VG+
