Description

The story behind this record is I went to see the Allman Brothers band at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA on Sept. 4, 2003. If you don't know this venue it seats only 2500 outdoors in front of the old Paul Mason Winery.  The location is just so beautiful.  Well we got their early so we could walk around and my hope was to meet Gregg.

As we hung out, we started seeing the band members like Derek Trucks, Oteil  Burbridge and Jaimoe the crowd just hanging out.  We kept walking and eventually I saw Gregg so I went up to him to say hello.  I showed him this album and told him the story of when I was a teenager my cousin took me to Boston to see his solo tour in 1974. I told him it had an impact on me along with the Allman Bro records.  We talked for a few minutes about the venue, the day and how the tour was going.  He was very polite and then I asked if he wouldn't mind signing the album for me and he said no problem.  I thanked him and he went on his way.  The concert was spectacular that evening under the amazing outdoor sky.

Well since then I have obtain many more of his signatures so I think its time to let this one go.  I will also be putting up (2) signed copies of Richard Betts from his solo tour Highway Call that I got back from 1974 from Providence, RI  

At 64 I feel it time to start letting go of some of my nice things I that I obtained over the years.
