Description
artist : Greenwood, Curlee & Clyde title : one time one place label : private pressing, 1972 info : rare handmade rural northwoods psych LP. Featured in the Acid Archives and Pokora's Record Collector's Dreams. A review: "Cool counterculture artifact from well-meaning hippies who spent two years perfecting their craft. Most collectors lament that there’s too much piano here but even the overlong ballads are good. This is a great album. The intelligent lyrics are foul-mouthed in a wholly appealing way, and the mellow music is very well-played. Nice little guitar parts come when you least expect them, giving energy to the quieter songs, and the vocals are confident in a laid-back way." A youtube video can be found from this album as well. CONDITION: sleeve: hand screenprinted cover shows some yellowing and minor ringwear, some dings and corner bends, but is visually nice and with strong seams. Solid VG+ includes the lyric and picture 2 page insert, in good shape. disc: clean, flat disc shows very little wear. a few inaudible hairlines and some faint spindle marks. very loud, present with no background noise. EX- to EX a great copy overall. no warps at all. USA SHIPPING: INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: media mail $4 1st class $14 $1 per add'l $1 per add'l For auctions ending over $100: US customers - free insurance, delivery confirmation optional at $4 extra. PACKING All records are shipped using standard mailers with the sleeved record outside the cover to prevent seam splits. I use care in packing records and I haven't had any issues in over 200 transactions. Valuable records are usually shipped with poly sleeves as well. Records are surface cleaned with diluted alcohol/distilled water mixture and 100% cotton cloth, unless indicated otherwise. (some valuable records are VPI cleaned). Bid with confidence! I guarantee every transaction, and I pledge to answer any questions promptly and deal fairly every time. I usually ship things pretty fast as well. LOST or DAMAGED PACKAGES The US Postal service has worked well for me, I haven't had any issues with loss or damage. Sometimes delivery may be SLOW! Russia, Norway, and a few other countries occasionally hold items at customs for a long time. Be patient, they will show up eventually. As I see it, buying things through the mail, especially overseas, carries an inherent risk of loss or damage. As buyers, we accept this risk as part of the process. I will work with buyers to ensure a positive transaction as much as possible, but be aware of this risk! (again: no issues so far in almost 300 transactions, most of which were international and to over 25 countries). As a buyer, you are responsible for knowing your own postal system and the logistics of how packages arrive. You are responsible for selecting the correct services (tracking, insurance, or delivery confirmation, etc) if they are necessary for your location. As a seller, I am responsible for packing, labeling, and mailing the item correctly. In the middle there's an ocean, and unforeseen things occasionally happen. We'll work together in the unfortunate case something does. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- GRADING Valuable records are play graded completely to detect any issues that cannot be seen. Many less valuable records are not completely play graded, but scanned to detect any "invisible" flaws. I use the following system of grading, and sometimes offer an additional 1 to 10 rating. A typical clean, unplayed looking record grades EX to EX+. Like many others, I seldom if ever use the grade MINT. Additionally, on valuable records that fall into the VG to VG+ range I will add sound clips so you can hear the condition for yourself. Standards for the condition of vinyl records (from Record Collector): MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. FAIR The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. POOR The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. BAD The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RETURNS: If unsatisfied, you may return the item within one week of receiving. Partial refunds can be made depending on the arrangement. Check out my other record auctions for a wide assortment of rarities of all kinds!
